Weymouth Shellfish Charters

Weymouth Shellfish Charters offer a variety of Crab potting and sightseeing boat trips run from Weymouth harbour, aboard our new vessel, Drifter from Easter until mid September.

Enjoy a fun trip with us like our unique Crab potting experience pulling up Crab pots, or, a relaxing sightseeing trip along the world famous Jurassic coastline.

Our vessel is also available for Private hire if you prefer a more tailored experience and is also licensed for Workboat duties and commercial work (Please contact us for more details)

We are also planning some new trips, hopefully coming in 2025!

Crab pot safari Boat Trip

90 min - £25

Discover Crab pot fishing in Weymouth Bay with our unique experience, aboard our working commercial fishing vessel!!

Relax, as we leave Weymouth harbour and head out to the fishing grounds where we will pull a variety of pots and you will see whats lurking inside! From Crab, Lobsters, small fish, Prawns and more, you will get to experience the local wildlife and see our sustainable fishing methods first hand*

You will have the opportunity to get involved and handle the catch before we release them back into the sea. Then we will cruise back into Weymouth with a bit of sightseeing past Portland harbour and Chequers fort along the way.

This is a perfect way to spend the afternoon doing something different with the family in a relaxed atmosphere.

Durdle door Boat trip

90 min - £20

This trip will take you past some of Weymouths beautiful Jurassic coastline to the world famous Durdle Door (known as the drinking dragon) where you will get a unique perspective of the well known landmark.

Relax aboard Drifter on our newly fitted seating whilst we cruise down Weymouth's historical harbour past the lifeboat station and Nothe Fort and out into the bay.

From here we will cruise along the coastline, past the anchored ships in the bay to our stop at Durdle door. The skipper will get you as close as possible and stop for the chance to get as many pictures and videos as possible (don't forget to post them to our social media!)

When it's time to leave we will begin our gentle cruise back across the bay towards Weymouth. If there is time we will stop into Portland harbour on the way home to try and spot the resident Dolphins if they are in the area*

Drifter

Our boat 'Drifter' is an 8 metre cheetah catamaran built in Ventor, IOW in 2022. Our boat is Licensed for up to 10 passengers and available for a variety of trips as well as workboat duties.

Fast and Stable

Perfect for passenger trips, Drifter is a fast and stable platform with newly adapted seating for 10 passengers.

Safety Boat

Coded for workboat duties, Drifter is available for a variety of commercial work such as safety boat duties. Call for more info.

Survey Work

With a good amount of deck space and a removable stern door, Drifter is perfect for various types of survey work.
